We’ve loved working with our Class of 2016 Spokesmodels because they are fun and awesome and also very active! And we want you to get to know these amazing girls as well. So we’ve asked them to tell us a little bit about how their summer is going so far:
MEET LEXIE!
JP: What all are you up to this summer?
L: This summer I’ve been dancing every week and hanging out with friends. In July I went to Chicago to dance for the Dupree Dance All-Star team and I went on a road trip to Austin to do a dance clinic over my birthday weekend. In August I have Markette practice everyday from 9-4. I’m excited for that because it’s our first time to be together as a team and for me to lead as the new Major!
L: The highlight of my summer was officer camp because the dance officers tied for 3rd out of 40 teams, received most admired officers, and most disciplined officers. I had a lot of fun bonding with all the girls and getting to learn a lot about dance technique and leadership. Officer camp sets the tone for the year so it was a huge honor to lead my officer line and accomplish so much in a little amount of time for preparation.
L: I’ve learned a lot about time management because of all the preparation for college. I’ve had to visit, write essays, work on my resume, and start the applications.
L: I spend time with my 4 year old nephew and 1 year old niece daily. I love having them around the house to keep me busy. I take them swimming, we draw, play with Legos, watch movies, and play around.
