Leslie & Conrad | 5226 Elm, Part 1

From the first time we met Leslie in our studio, we were excited to photograph her and Conrad on their wedding day! She told us that she’d chosen one of our favorite venues, 5226 Elm, which we love for its clean and modern look as well as the beautiful outdoor space for wedding ceremonies so we were immediately happy about that. And then as we got to know Leslie in our meeting, we knew she would be an awesome bride to work with 🙂

One of our favorite parts of the day was their first look! We can’t help but get giddy about that moment when the groom turns around and sees his beautiful bride and then share some emotional moments together. We love this!

Avery | The HCHS Senior Photographer

Not sure what Houston Christian High School (HCHS) puts in their water, but whatever it is we hope they don’t stop! Because we have another beautiful and intelligent senior from HCHS on our blog today! Meet Avery!

We absolutely had fun collaborating with Avery and her mom for Avery’s session. She wanted something urban, but also liked the idea of shooting in one of our exclusive fields that we stumbled upon while scouting for locations last year. On top of shooting at some of our favorite locations that day, the light was so yummy for her session! We have a thing for sun flare (if you haven’t noticed) and it worked so well for Avery. Her head shots in the field are some of our absolute favorites! The sun was so golden that day and with the extra wind provided during the session we were able to create dreamy and just stunning images during the last bit of light in the late afternoon.

Avery, you are a dream! It’s been such a pleasure working with you and your mom! And we are so glad we got to work with your brother too! We wish you nothing but sunshine and cloudless days!

Maria | Downtown Houston Senior Photographer

Maria has probably been our biggest fashionista of the year! She will be graduating from Houston Christian High School and wants to study fashion merchandising, which we think is the perfect avenue for her to venture down. We wanted to keep everything she brought to wear to her session! And we really can’t take credit for her outfits because she had everything paired and knew exactly what she wanted to wear for her session! Maria did a fabulous job with accessories: scarves, hats, vest, purses and more! The right accessory can really dress up your outfit and Maria knew just how to pull it off. And then the shoes! Perfectly chosen for each outfit.

Also, we love that she wanted to do some shots in her formal dress – talk about glamorous! This was a great way to finish off the session with a touch of elegance.

We also were completely in love with her choice in location – Downtown Houston. We just love the city and think it always makes the perfect backdrop for senior pictures!

Maria, we look forward to seeing your name in the fashion world one day!

Caroline | Stratford Senior Photographer

Caroline is a senior at Stratford High School and will be graduating this spring! One thing we learned about her is that while she might live in Texas, California lives in her heart. And like Cali, she believes in sunshine and a laid-back lifestyle. So for her sets we wanted to make sure to reflect that. Some of our favorite images we took that day were of her in a small field wrapped in Mother Nature’s sunshine.

We had so much fun working with her and her mom! One of her mom’s favorite features about Caroline is her eyes! And we would have to agree! Aren’t they just stunning! Not to mention her gorgeous long blonde hair!

Sarah | Downtown Houston Photographer

Meet Sarah! This beautiful gal is the varsity cheerleader co-captain at Houston Christian High School! Along with the long list of other things she is involved with she is probably one of the sweetest girls we have met and the sweeter nature of her mom was the cherry on top! Sarah and her mom were so amazing to work with and so fun to be around. We could talk about random things forever!

This city girl wanted to incorporate Downtown Houston in her senior portraits which we loved! We don’t get to shoot Downtown too often so we were thrilled to shoot in a new location! The architecture, lines, and busy street background of Downtown worked so well for her fun personality. And if you can’t tell from the outfits she picked out, she also loves fashion!
